Car deaths and firearm deaths are on par with suicides included (~45-47k in 2022). But what scares people about guns are homicides, which are only 40% of gun deaths, and a much smaller source of deaths than cars.

If it were proportional to the threat, the urgency & horror people in the US feel about gun homicides should be felt doubly so for cars.

Democrats want to harness this outrage to get out the vote a year from now, they should make this a referendum on ending Trump’s unpopular regime by removing him and his willing accomplice from office in 2027. That getting to 67 votes in the Senate is nigh-impossible is a plank for reform (2/3)

Exactly. They are deliberately, flagrantly, repeatedly subverting the Constitution and have gotten away with it because the majority in Congress has abdicated its responsibilities. 5 million Americans took to the streets decrying this Executive as a king. The colonials revolted for less. If (1/3)
