If nothing else, this confirms that he knows that’s what the house should have done already

She’s probably well aware of the May government decision but the optics are what you say now, not what you said previously. This is where FPTP fails us, there’s no room for compromise, it’s so adversarial.

It’s almost like leaning into the rabid, racist right was always going to alienate a greater number of Labour voters than it would ever potentially gain from Reform/Conservatives.

It’s almost like that was obvious to anyone with a heartbeat

This is just opposition to EVERYTHING proposed by the incumbent government. It’s my view that she’s a bit thick tbh. It’s obvious why 11 year olds should be targeted with this, just like they target them with anti-smoking info, if they catch them before they start… it works

In prior governments that last paragraph would have been enough… based on the fact that it was May’s Tory party who culled 10,000 officers…

The abhorrent rest of the message is proof that standards in public life have been erased, not just eroded

It’s been permitted to be owned by a small number of powerful (rich) people. Legislation could fix this but the people who benefit from the status quo tend to be involved in making laws…why on earth Starmer’s Labour (not media darlings) don’t do this is bewildering

Only a decade too late…

I don’t think they do, capacity=capability, it requires 🧠 power. They are victims of a directed and calculated constriction and pollution of information. You are blaming the victims of this orchestrated campaign. You have to hold the people polluting the discourse to account.

This assumes that everyone has the capacity to see through the convincing 🐂💩. It is well known that people only accept information that align ms with their own biases

As someone with well developed empathy and social conscience, I don’t worry about paying tax on anything I might one day inherit myself either… it’s a privilege to help support society
December 15, 2025 at 8:41 AM
Yeah but you can’t blame them, everything (EVERYTHING) they read in the tabloid press (over 65s) and see on TikTok (under 25s) tells them that’s the problem. Until we fix the disinformation we will get this doom loop
December 15, 2025 at 8:31 AM
“Alexa, show me what happens when you govern exclusively to address public perceptions (based on a media full of baseless or exaggerated hostility towards foreigners) rather than economic realities.”

They need to be more than concerned. They need to wake up to the very real reality that state capture is occurring in the US. We now need a collaborative strategy to uncouple from US defence reliance rapidly. I’ve no doubt Ukraine would have capitulated had Trump not lost to Biden.

Imagine being from a northern town decimated by austerity and voting for a party who are promising (checks notes) more austerity… I know it’s nearly Christmas but these turkeys love voting for the abattoir.
Labour have made a gross miscalculation by giving this anti migrant rhetoric air
December 13, 2025 at 5:17 AM
It also fails to account for the fact that some spending leads to more earning, some spending leads to greater long term benefit, and (as I think is the case here), some spending leads to savings elsewhere (eg, every £1 spent on youth clubs saves £3 on other things - like policing/justice/education)

Slow-revoir 🤣
November 28, 2025 at 5:08 AM
If you cut spending, you cut tax income too… that’s why austerity simultaneously withered the state infrastructure and trebled the national debt.

Tories love running an economy as if it’s a household, until they inevitably run everything down and are voted out.

It’s just keeping the narrative away from the truth that Putin wants a divided Europe, he wants a neutered US and he has the tentacles to access the minds of citizens everywhere through consistent social media messaging. Clip the wings of social media and investigate Russian money ASAP
