While most people today unanimously condemn the historical prejudices that led our ancestors to believe that they were inherently better than others, I fear that we also often subconsciously hold the erroneous belief that we are born inherently immune to falling into similar prejudices today.

Shout out to SnoPUD. Our 220v appliances stopped working this week, and I called SnoPUD to have them check the connection at our pole. I called at 3:37. They had someone out looking at it within 30 minutes, and they had identified and fixed the problem by 5:30.

I read (I will fight anyone that says audiobooks don't count as reading) 65 books this year. Intellectually I know this is a good number, but it's about 100 less than I've read each of the previous three years, and I feel like I've been slacking.
