If the Clinton, Obama, and Biden presidencies have taught us anything, it’s that they don’t need the presidency to remain in control. They extract a lot of political capital from having someone to blame every 8 (or 4) years.

Fun fact about The Last Waltz: the only member of The Band you actually hear playing live is Levon Helm, because out of his seething contempt for Scorsese and the entire project in general, he refused to record overdubs. Still a great film/album tho.

In a closed primary state, registering as NPA only makes it easier for the worst candidates to get nominated, thereby exacerbating the condition that drove you to NPA in the first place.
