I think you could even still make freshly caught pokemon stats feel random-ish by giving them some EVs in some stats here and there and keep basically the same effect.

Pretty good, but I feel like Kanna might like Sawk more since it is explicitly the Karate pokemon. I wanna say a dragon type would fit Sumire more but admittedly none of them quite fit her vibe. Lurantis for Sakura is really big brained though.
