Last week, the Max Planck School of Photonics received a certificate for our strong performance in the Stadtradeln (city biking) challenge!

In the university category, our team took 2nd place, riding an impressive 355 km per person over just 21 days!

After you have defended your doctorate, it's time for the graduation ceremony. On the 3rd June the first Max Planck Schools graduation ceremony took place in Heilbronn.

On the MPSP side, our graduate Dr. Christopher Spiess was delighted to receive his certificate.

2025 marks the centenary of quantum mechanics, a field that has redefined our understanding of the physical world. The date is a nod to Planck’s constant (h), a fundamental constant in quantum physics.
Rounded to two digits, h ≈ 4.14 × 10⁻¹⁵ eV·s → giving us 4.14 → April 14.
