Northern lights lovers didn’t have to go far to see them ripple across the sky Tuesday evening. A show that included vivid red auroras visible to the eye, not just the camera.

There's still a chance to see the northern lights across Minnesota tonight! Your best shot will be between 9 p.m. and midnight - and remember to get as far from cities as you can for the clearest view.

Hours in to its first day, the State Fair is shaping up to be more popular than ever. Lines for park-and-rides have been long, but moving quickly across the metro. Most parking lots are filled and bike parking facilities also almost full.

The Senate voted to approve a $9 billion rescission package aimed at clawing back money already allocated for public radio and television. In Minnesota, that funding totals $17,228,752 across 16 organizations.

Former President Joe Biden came to the Capitol after 4 p.m. to pay his respects to Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark. ⁠

He spent about 90 seconds in front of the caskets, made the sign of the cross and knelt quietly.
