I've just looked up one of them the precious metal Pisces and as I suspected they are some curiously shaped NaCl based mouth-filling 'fun'. So removing one from its bag would make it a unit.

Though the two cameras are different, Costello's is a Hasselblad, Hemmings is a Nikon F. Not sure if the tripods are different though I'm not that much of a nerd.
