What transparency? like sending out what is going to be discussed before the meeting?
December 22, 2024 at 3:37 PM
Umm… four are endorsed by the democratic socialists and claim they are socialists and three vote with them. So. Should I not honor how they identify themselves?

So feel free to crow about winning. As my city is dying, enjoy it. This is the leadership of people you support doing this. Own what you are creating.
December 22, 2024 at 3:30 PM
The city is dying. We lost $2b in valuation in one year. We lost 15,000 jobs since 2019. Crime
Is up. The population is down. Investors have fled on the rental side and housing is up 25% on the ownership side. That is what this leadership is making. Yeah we fight back.
December 22, 2024 at 3:28 PM
The dfl in minneapolis is the socialists now. And yeah we oppose them. You should too.
December 22, 2024 at 3:21 PM
We literally tried to speak and were not allowed. We tried to stop this because it is bad. And we lost because a lot of state people didnt understand how odious this is. They think the dfl still represents them when it doesnt.
December 22, 2024 at 3:21 PM
You literally quoted me right after they denied us the right to speak. That is true. And the changes were designed to make it easier to silence the Minneapolis chapter. And when we talk “far left” you see any of the people on my side doing personal attacks?
December 22, 2024 at 3:12 PM
This wasn’t just kind-hearted effort to codify rules. That Letofsky did out of the kindness of her heart. Tell the truth about what it actually was,
December 22, 2024 at 10:58 AM
They literally did not allow us to speak against the wholesale rewrite of the rules that Cara Letofsky did all by herself. The rules written to rein in the Minneapolis Chapter that hasn’t been supporting the far-left in Minneapolis. Literally they get three speeches for and we get one against. Is
December 22, 2024 at 10:57 AM
Lets see - cara letofsky writes a wholesale replacement of the rules - hardly anyone saw them - then literally they wont let us speak against it - yeah it was dirty - tell the whole story next time

Minneapolis has done all these things yet transit and walking have fallen, not increased. Biking increased and then leveled off. So it isn’t proven that making it harder to drive like traffic calming will force people to change modes. The data does not say that.
December 19, 2024 at 2:00 AM
So you have to ask what is actually being achieved other than making anti-car people happy. We are not safer, more carbon is produced, people are poorer, and struggle more to take care of families. So how is this good policy?
December 19, 2024 at 1:50 AM
Not to mention killing jobs, making it harder for parents to take care of their kids because it just takes longer to get anywhere and parents with kids travel more than any other family type. Making us poorer because it is harder to get to good jobs.
December 19, 2024 at 1:50 AM
And of course, no one will actually study it. They all like u drank the koolaid that biking and transit is good for the environment. It all depends on how you do it. If you put all these cars in to congestion, polluting, these changes are bad for the environment.
December 19, 2024 at 1:49 AM
At the same time, the road changes have killed Uptown, what was our thriving commercial area. Dead Doornail Dead because of putting in bike and bus lanes. Lots of picks of backed up traffic and empty bike lanes. Traffic backs up a mile by my house now they put in bus lanes.
December 19, 2024 at 1:48 AM
Transit ridership peaked in 2015 and declined now 50%. Electric vehicles are better for the environment than heavy diesel engine buses. (UK Govt) Walking declined 46% since 2020 (Streetlight) and biking peaked in 1980 (Census). So you put this stuff in but it isn’t used.
December 19, 2024 at 1:47 AM
Either it is doing nothing to keep us safer or it is making us less safe. Given it is driving up carbon emissions and making it harder for people to get to jobs and take care of their families, it does not seem to make sense to do it. But that is me just following the data.

Minneapolis 2024 Vision Zero report. Stats started going up as soon as the City started making these changes. Perhaps it isn’t someone going 25 mph instead of 20 mph that is the problem? Maybe it is impaired drivers and pedestrians? If so, how would you design a road to make them safer?
December 19, 2024 at 12:17 AM
In Minneapolis, since they started “traffic calming”, deaths increased 79% and severe accidents 13%. If it isnt making us safer, why are we doing this? And traffic is choking, increasing carbon emissions. And you make it harder for people to get to jobs and for them to take care of their families.
December 18, 2024 at 11:47 PM
Oh for fucks sake Conrad, everyone to the right of your socialism isnt Republican. There is no functional GOP in Minneapolis. We are all Democrats. And you, as party chair should not spread these kind of lies about fellow Democrats.
