I just tested positive for Covid for the first time. I don’t feel too bad, but I slept about 2 hours longer than I normally do and woke up with a bit of a headache. I took my temperature, and it was 100°. That’s the only reason I tested. I wish the CDC was still keeping accurate data.

My husband had ankle surgery two weeks ago. He is non-weight bearing, but gets around pretty well with his scooter. Today he said he wanted to do something fun, so we hit the light rail into Seattle! We went to the Olympic Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market (and our favorite French bakery), and more!

We went to the Olympic Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market (and our favorite French bakery), and more!
The dogs and I took a long hike in the spring mist today. We did not see a single other hiker out there today.

The water is warming up. It was 66° today, so our swim group is growing! Four of us swam, and my sister paddled. She needs it a little warmer… maybe next time she will swim.

The dogs had a fun romp on our hike yesterday evening. They love splashing in the water, then rubbing in the tall grass.

My sister gave me a variety pack of daffodil bulbs last fall. I planted them all over. It’s so fun to see them come up now! The elk or deer ate the buds off a few, but there are still plenty of various colors and shapes. Just the pick-me-up I could use this spring. ❤️

A choppy #openwaterswim in Puget Sound today. A seal was spotted by our kayaker, but I didn’t see it. We saw lots of sea stars, urchins, anemones, crabs, and one small jelly. I hate getting in 🥶, but it is always worth it! #wildswimming

The dogs and I found a blooming rhododendron at an old home site on our hike! Our rhododendrons won’t be blooming for a while, yet, so this was an exciting discovery.

Puget Sound was a little rough today for our kayaker, and I forgot my GoPro, making it a perfect day for the seals to show up! 🦭🦭 They were curious about us, so we got to see them a little closer than we sometimes do. No pictures, but still a special experience. ❤️ #wildswim #openwaterswim
