Even better, all that money actually goes to the bank because the rent doesn't quite cover the mortgage. You do get to claim the difference as a tax write off though.

A quick scan seems to add up to effectively being what the voice was supposed to be. With the assumption being that more treaties will follow. If so it gets my thumbs up.

I would be happier about it if I knew what was in it. News reports seem to gloss over that. That's on me I guess. Presumably I can find it with Google.

Good luck with that.

What if she let the coalition split, stuck all the rwnj on the back bench where they all get a massive pay cut and lead with conviction for bit. What's the worst that could happen?
November 7, 2025 at 8:51 PM
Oh, lead in petrol as well
November 2, 2025 at 2:30 AM
Fortunately that's highly unlikely. The God botherers have taken over and they have no positive vision.

Not if you consider who is paying them. Mining companies, gambling industry, military etc contribute almost as much to Labor as the coalition.

What are they paying them for? So they don't change anything. That's what they are for - to prevent change that might make life better.

The point is to safely suck up progressive votes without the danger that politics might become progressive.

Oh no you don't. He's your problem now.

I don't understand this joke, but it's a very pleasing image.

But from his perspective, the Jedi were the bad guys... And he brought balance? to the force. Not to mention a death bed redemption cleared all that up and he became a good force ghost. I love star wars but its morality is all over the shop.

Well I'm calling for it now... Probably not loud enough for any one to care. I hate those things.

Interesting thing about non partisan groups. They tend to be made up of the status quo and therefore reinforce it. Then if, for example, one or more political parties get captured by fossil fuel lobbies, it's very hard to get legislation passed that deals with climate change.

I'm not a electoral scholar, but I think the intention was to safeguard against one party having full control of government without any check on their power. See also that the senate only elects half it's members each term. There's also the intention that states have equal representation.

In the house, you are represented by the person the majority of people dislike least. This makes it difficult for extremists to win.

In the senate we recognise that if you only have 16 percent of the vote, that's still a lot of people who deserve a voice.

This has short circuited my doom scrolling brain and I can't thank you enough.

We'll be ok. Thanks for your concern.
