You are missing the point. Kids in school shouldn't be left out because of any of these differences, which are in fact rather minor at an amateur level.
Middle school softball isn't the Olympics. The outcome doesn't fucking matter that much. Including everyone is more important by far.

You are ignorant. Educate yourself. There is perhaps a debate to be had by Olympic committees and so forth, but kids should be able to live normal lives. It's not about winning - it's about being included and not treated like a leper.
