The construction of the Kursk 2 VVER-TOI reactors is behind schedule. There'd be no risk of radioactive contamination were Ukrainian forces to demolish them.
Shutting down the two operating RMBK 1000 reactor would bad for Russia. Likely best to bring in Ukranian operators for this.
