I sometimes post promos for authors to help them.

I tend to read mostly MM/MX Romance and some Fantasy or Paranormal Romance. Those can be found on my blog and other sites.

McKenzie by Lee McCormick 3 of 5 stars Streeter moves to the isolated town of Devil’s Point hoping to escape his violent past, but an aggravating customer and an old trigger song push him back toward the darker instincts he’s been trying to outrun. In the chaos that follows, he ends up saving Remington — a delicate, bright‑spirited young man who immediately captures his attention in a way no one else has. Remington knows he should be afraid of Streeter, but instead he feels seen, protected, and strangely cherished for the first time in his life. As a snowstorm traps them together, their connection deepens, leaving Remington wondering whether he’s just a temporary comfort for a dangerous man… or someone Streeter truly wants to keep. I really enjoyed this story and the way that their connection showed that it doesn’t always come from safety; sometimes it comes from being seen in a moment of absolute truth because their bond formed not despite Streeter’s darkness, but because Remington recognised something in it that mirrors his own loneliness. This was a good example of a dark story with a high heat level. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0FQ3D9XQF"

Despite the chaos of celebrity life and Sawyer’s worries about being “enough” due to his borderline ace identity, the two form a tender connection. As they navigate media pressure, public expectations, and their own insecurities, they fight to build a relationship defined by authenticity, understanding, and love on their own terms. I loved this story that challenged rigid expectations of what queer love “should” look like and their romance bridged extremes — Casper learnt to be seen, Sawyer learnt to be known. I also loved that Casper lives in his head: History, research, and analysis are his comfort zones whereas Sawyer lives in the moment: Acting, improvisation, emotional instinct, but, their connection blended thoughtfulness with spontaneity, showing how opposites can create balance. I did enjoy reading a book where the characters were on the demisexual/asexual spectrum and found a way to make their relationship work showing that a true connection is built through mutual understanding, not external approval. They really were perfect for each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0CW19R9DB"

His words — calling her “little girl” — stir feelings of submission and longing, making her realize she craves the care, discipline, and intimacy of a Daddy figure. After running from her needs for too long, Brooklyn finally decides it’s time to surrender and embrace the dynamic she has always wanted. When he meets Zachy — along with Zachy’s Daddy Gage and Papa Cooper — he finally finds his first true friend within the group. MP Book Reviews on Instagram: "Review: A Bloody Merry Christmas by M.D. Gregory 4 of 5 stars Ezra Hunter, a homeless man embittered by Christmas and its false cheer, finds himself attacked by frat bullies. Fleeing into a stranger’s yard, he’s saved in a brutal act of violence by Samael Morris — a scientist who secretly kills those he deems irredeemably bad. Though ruthless with his victims, Samael is unexpectedly gentle with Ezra. Samael, scarred by an abusive past that left him voiceless, has lived a life of precision and secrecy. Ezra’s sudden presence ignites feelings he’s never allowed himself to feel, stirring both desire and a need to protect. As they grow closer, Ezra learns ASL to communicate with Samael, while Samael discovers intimacy and vulnerability for the first time. Their bond deepens into love, but with Ezra’s trauma and Samael’s violent double life, the question remains: can they save each other, or will their demons drag them down? I loved this story about two broken men finding unexpected love in the shadows, where tenderness and violence intertwine, and where saving each other may be both a miracle and dangerous. I also loved how the“knight in shining armour splattered with blood” embodied the idea that salvation can come from flawed, even monstrous, protectors. I loved that Ezra was determined to learn ASL so that he could easily communicate with Samael. This was a very enjoyable story about two broken men finding belonging in each other, where love became both miracle and danger, and where salvation is inseparable from the shadows that haunt them. But after years of drama and disappointment, Reid is ready to walk away from it all. He’s frustrated with Max’s endless overthinking and desperate to finally reveal his true desires — only his attempt to confess ends in failure. Max, meanwhile, feels lost. Shutting down the community was liberating, but it left him adrift, still clueless about his identity in the lifestyle. He resigns himself to loneliness, convinced his deepest fantasies — primal play, submission, and being hunted — will never leave the shadows of his mind. With a vacation looming, the two men prepare to reconnect with old friends one last time. What begins as an ending may instead become a turning point, as Reid and Max confront their desires, their friendship, and the possibility that love and primal play could transform everything they thought they knew about themselves. I loved this story about two men daring to confront desire, identity, and friendship — discovering that love can thrive even in the most primal of places. I loved the way that the author wrote the risk of transforming friendship into romance that highlighted the fear of losing what’s safe versus the hope of gaining something deeper. I also loved how the story explored how self-discovery is often messy, nonlinear, and requires courage to confront hidden desires. This was a great story about two men daring to confront desire and identity, proving that love can grow from friendship when both are brave enough to embrace vulnerability and primal truth. Lots of emotions and feelings that were easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and BDSM-like elements. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0G1JQZF7H"

MP Book Reviews on Instagram: "Review: Chef Charades by Merry Farmer 4 of 5 stars Walt Severance, a London chef reeling from the failure to earn a Michelin star, retreats to rural Dorset to recover from heartbreak and burnout. There, he crosses paths with Kit Courrier, a sheep farmer struggling to keep his land afloat. What begins as Walt offering his hands for farm work quickly becomes something deeper — a chance for both men to heal and rediscover purpose. Kit, a dom with a strong sense of responsibility, sees in Walt not only a partner but someone he can guide through anxiety and help rebuild. Yet their budding connection faces obstacles: Kit’s farm is in financial peril, Walt doubts his ability to give more than temporary comfort, and their compatibility in the bedroom is uncertain. As they navigate shenanigans with sheep, a hostile neighbour’s takeover attempt, and even the discovery of a dungeon in the basement, Walt and Kit realise that their solution may lie in collaboration — blending passion, trust, and creativity. With the Brotherhood’s legacy as backdrop, their story becomes one of second chances, unconventional intimacy, and finding love where it’s least expected. I loved this story with the two men risking everything to rebuild their lives, discovering that love, trust, and collaboration can turn shattered dreams into new beginnings. I liked how the farm became a healing ground, contrasting the high‑pressure glamour of London with the simplicity of rural life. I also loved that home was not just a physical space but the emotional stability found in their partnership. I loved that at its heart this story was about men learning that redemption and belonging come not from perfection, but from collaboration, vulnerability, and the courage to embrace unconventional intimacy. Seeking comfort, he turns to submission for a night, but the encounter stirs deeper emotions than expected and entangles him in complications he can’t escape. His search for help leads him straight into the path of Hunter Covington — Marshall’s younger brother, equally dominant, and impossible to ignore. Hunter initially sees their meeting as a fleeting connection, but Lincoln’s vulnerability and strength captivate him. Determined not to walk away, Hunter convinces Lincoln to give him a chance. Their relationship evolves into a unique power exchange — one where Hunter’s protective instincts and Lincoln’s need for safety intertwine with surprising reciprocity. Yet Lincoln’s fear of abandonment makes him want to run, even as Hunter offers him a home and unconditional care. Their love becomes a test of endurance, trust, and self‑worth, as Hunter hopes to prove that Lincoln deserves not only love but a future built together. I really struggled with this story. There were a lot of sex scenes but although BDSM was new for Hunter we didn't really experience the details of him trying and exploring it. There was also an absence of scenes too. I did enjoy the exploration of the different kinds of relationships although at times it was more of a distraction. MP Book Reviews on Instagram: "Review: Gentle Man's Alphas by Allie W. Scott 3 of 5 stars Adrian, a grumpy and guarded Alpha, has long been secretly drawn to Vincent, the delicate Omega whose passion for gardening captured his heart. Haunted by past heartbreak, Adrian has kept his distance, but the arrival of Rupert — a frustrated Alpha who unexpectedly finds work on the farm — disrupts the fragile balance. Rupert is immediately charmed by Vincent’s sweetness and intrigued by Adrian’s intensity. He sees the potential for something unconventional: a bond that includes all three of them. Vincent, longing for a family of his own and uncertain of Adrian’s feelings, begins to wonder if Rupert might be the key to his happily ever after. As emotions deepen, the trio must navigate jealousy, vulnerability, and the possibility of building a shared life together. The question remains: can Adrian let go of his fears, can Rupert prove that three is not a crowd, and can Vincent embrace the love of two devoted Alphas? I enjoyed this novella about three men discovering that love, trust, and family can be built outside traditional boundaries — and that sometimes, the most unexpected connections create the strongest bonds. I loved how Rupert’s openness challenged Adrian’s restraint, while Vincent bridged their differences. This was a sweet story about courage to embrace unconventional love, the healing power of vulnerability, and the creation of a home where three hearts can grow together. Easy to read and understand. MP Book Reviews on Instagram: "Review: Christmas Mafia Prince by K.A. Merikan 4 of 5 stars What should have been a Christmas break in Aspen turns into a deadly, twisted holiday tradition. Damen, a mafia hitman, longs to join his family’s annual “hunt” — a brutal game where enemies are released and pursued for sport. But only married men can participate, and his father insists he wed a woman. Determined to defy him, Damen decides to bring home a husband instead. Enter Killian: green-haired, tattooed, loud, and delightfully disastrous. After asking Damen to pose as his fake boyfriend to escape an ex’s threats, Killian agrees to play husband in exchange for a holiday getaway. What he doesn’t realize is that Damen’s family is steeped in blood and violence, and their festive “fun” could put him on the wrong side of the hunt. As sparks fly between the sharp-suited hitman and his chaotic fake husband, Killian must navigate danger, deception, and desire. Falling for Damen might be the most reckless choice of all — but resisting him could be impossible. I loved this story about surviving family, defying expectations, and discovering that even in the darkest traditions, love can be the most dangerous game of all. I loved that Damen's father demanded that he marry a woman to uphold tradition, but Damen refused, choosing a husband instead and the story explored how love and identity clash with rigid family expectations, and how rebellion becomes an act of self‑definition. I also liked that their chemistry thrives on contrast — chaos and control, danger and desire, colliding into volatile attraction. At its heart this story was about love becoming both rebellion and survival in a world where family tradition is steeped in violence, and where choosing authenticity can be the most dangerous act of all. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0FQ5W3HZX"

MP Book Reviews on Instagram: "Review: Footballer Follies by Merry Farmer 3 of 5 stars Ellis Dixon may be a glamorous supermodel, but beneath the surface he carries guilt and regret for the mistakes of his past — especially the way he bullied Raeburn Kauffman in school. When fate throws them back together, Ellis sees a chance at redemption. Rae, now a rising football star adored by fans of the Ealing Eels, still bears the scars of Ellis’s cruelty. Yet as Ellis works to support him through the challenges of fame, Rae begins to remember the crush he once had on the boy who hurt him. Their reunion forces both men to confront old wounds, blurred lines between fake and real feelings, and the possibility that second chances can heal — or reopen — broken hearts. I loved this story about whether forgiveness and love can grow from the ashes of past cruelty, and if redemption can truly rewrite history. Both men wrestled with the divide between how the world sees them and who they truly are. I liked that vulnerability was the key to healing — but it required courage to risk being hurt again. I did find some parts of the story were mostly a farce which became silly at times. Easy to read and understand. MP Book Reviews on Instagram: "Review: A Mother's Love by Dale Mayer 5 of 5 stars Eden and her best friend Debbie set out on a three-day retreat seeking rest and renewal. Instead, Debbie is swept into a whirlwind romance with Richard, the retreat leader, and her sudden personality shift leaves Eden feeling betrayed, shattering their fifteen-year friendship. The weekend takes a darker turn when Debbie is found dead under mysterious circumstances. Detective Eric Kent, known for his sharp intuition, is assigned to the case. As he investigates, Eden’s grief-stricken account raises more questions than answers, hinting at secrets and dangers lurking beneath the surface. This is no ordinary investigation — it’s a journey into hidden truths where love, betrayal, and danger intertwine, and where the line between trust and deception grows perilously thin. I loved this story about how quickly trust can unravel, how love can conceal danger, and how uncovering the truth requires venturing into the unknown. The story highlighted that truth is rarely obvious — it requires patience, perspective, and a willingness to confront darkness. I also enjoyed that a space meant for healing can conceal danger, underscoring the fragility of safety. I loved that there was a lot of psychic involvement in the story which brought Eden and Eric closer together. A great mystery wrapped up in a tragic weekend away. A lot of emotions and feelings throughout the story. Easy to read and understand. This was an MF story. MP Book Reviews on Instagram: "Review: Fey Divinity by S. Rodman 5 of 5 stars Jack, the son of the prime minister, finds himself forced into an arranged marriage after the fey conquer Earth. His intended husband, Prince Dyfri y Mhorriganogi, is breathtakingly beautiful but also suspected of being a spy and an enemy infiltrator. Jack resents the lack of choice and resigns himself to a fate he never wanted — sharing his life with Dyfri in Downing Street. Yet when they finally meet, Dyfri’s dark eyes and enigmatic presence stir doubt in Jack’s certainty. Beneath the suspicion lies the possibility that Dyfri may not be loyal to his people at all, but instead aligned with humanity. As attraction and mistrust collide, Jack must decide whether he is seeing the truth or simply what he longs to believe. I loved this story which was about love and suspicion in the shadow of conquest, where one forced marriage could change everything. I loved the way that Jack defended Dyfri making him start to believe that he was not the worthless whore he had been treated as. I also loved that the fey conquest places Jack in a position of vulnerability, even as he represents human leadership but for Dyfri as a prince, he embodied power, but his possible disloyalty to his people revealed vulnerability. That emphasized that love became a negotiation of power, where intimacy required surrender from both sides. I felt that Dyfri was the prince with the possibility for the largest depth of character and this book did not disappoint. I loved the ending which was perfect for the series. Many emotions and feelings in this story. This was an MM story with mature content. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0FFBDQTKX"

MP Book Reviews on Instagram: "Review: A Little Snowed In by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat 4 of 5 stars Paxton agrees to check out a cabin for his boss on his way home for Christmas, but an unexpected snowstorm leaves him stranded. Inside the cabin, he’s stunned to find Nico — his first love, the one who got away. Years ago, Paxton never confessed his feelings, afraid that revealing his desire for a daddy/little dynamic would drive Nico away. Now, snowed in together with only one bed and plenty of time, Paxton sees this as his chance to finally be honest. With Christmas magic swirling around them, he musters the courage to admit his truth and risk rejection, knowing he can’t spend his life wondering “what if.” What follows is a tender, Hallmark-style holiday romance filled with stuffies, cookies, glitter, and second chances. Paxton and Nico rediscover their connection, find acceptance in each other, and realize that the greatest gift of all is true love and the promise of new beginnings. I loved this story which was about rediscovering love, embracing vulnerability, and finding the courage to claim happiness during the magic of Christmas. I loved how the story explored how authenticity can feel risky but is the foundation of lasting love. I also loved how love was portrayed as the ultimate present — one that outshines all others and lasts beyond the season. A sweet second chance Christmas story. As snow falls over Foggy Basin, Archie struggles with old insecurities that whisper he doesn’t deserve comfort or belonging. Yet Brogan’s steady warmth, shared meals, and gentle invitations begin to melt those doubts, offering Archie a glimpse of a life built together. On Christmas morning, under a tree adorned with handmade ornaments and soft lights, Brogan presents Archie with a simple but profound gift: a promise and a question. It’s not just about staying for the holiday season, but about choosing love, home, and permanence — staying for good. Madsen 4 of 5 stars Thomas, a divorced single dad, has settled into life with his son until a surprise call from school reveals that his fourteen-year-old created a dating profile for him. With his ex remarrying, Thomas realizes he hasn’t dated in years and feels out of touch with modern apps and romance. Angelo, a dedicated teacher who spends his days grading papers and unwinding with medical dramas, never expected love to find him at his weekly book club. But when Thomas — his student’s father — asks him out for coffee, their friendship begins to blur into something more. As Christmas approaches, Angelo wonders if it’s wrong to invite Thomas as his date to the faculty party, while Thomas navigates the unfamiliar world of dating and the possibility of opening his heart again. I really enjoyed this story about finding love when least expected, learning to take chances again, and discovering that the holiday season can bring both magic and romance.
