Except for the third to the last paragraph the “Chronicle” had it right. I don’t believe these people are out of step with the vast majority of Americans.

Similar happened to me in Texas. ID came for family member but mine didn’t. I assumed that a neighbor got it by mistake, put it back in outgoing mail and that triggered my removal. I caught it for a special election the governor scheduled at an odd time (another story). 3 MONTHS to get new card.

Please continue to care - for me that means staying engaged and fighting/voting for the change you want. At nearly 70 I know things aren't working for the majority of us. People not caring or feeling they don't make a difference often leads to "checking out". Stay engaged. Vote in EVERY election.

Saw both but watch “Apollo 13” over and over again and I feel the suspense and tear up every time even though I know how it turned out IRL.

Thanks for posting this - check out their "about" page for details on this innovative chef. And check out their menu for other fusion dishes. Gotta get down there (several times).

The first day of retirement deserves to be what YOU want it to be . . . and if it's KFC, so be it. Congratulations!

Slice the panettone, toast it, slather it in butter and add a little jelly. But don't eat the paper.
