I find her capitulation to MAGA (state& federal) infuriating. I live in Michigan, so her BS is a daily thing
My point isn’t in support of her, it was to clarify the entirety of why she was even there, which included natural disaster funding.
That said: She still fucked up, ambush or not.

Thousands are without power due to damage to the grid from a catastrophic ice storm in her state. I can attest to the fact that she needs to be doing FAR more to push back (at home and at a national level), while also acknowledging that this ambush was a tactic used by the admin to cause division.

…. She’s not fighting back against MAGA in our own state right now AND she’s not speaking out (like other Dem governors), which is incredibly disappointing.

And I agree with that statement and sentiment. But I understand why she didn’t. Especially with the huge need for that funding and the fact that if you don’t stroke his ego a bit you’ll get nothing. What gets me about her right now is the fact that she’s not speaking out against him…..

From someone in her state: She was supposed to be having a one-on-one meeting with him about relief funding due to the ice storm that just devestated part of Michigan. Instead she was brought into a press conference while cameras were already rolling. It’s still a bad look and she needs to speak up.

Can you inform Michiganders about how you plan to vote on cloture? That is the vote that will likely determine if this CR passes or not.
