It's been a hell of a run. I feel honored that we were able to work at wizards at the same time, even if it was for a mere 5 years and occurred during the point in time when the current crop of execs sunk their hooks in and changed the culture. Enjoy your well deserved retirement!

It sounds like it's working as designed. The Senate was the "Small State" plan and was put into place to appease the southern "small" states.

Nothing short of a revolution and proper de-nazification process will put things on a good track and there's FAR more money being spent too make sure that doesn't happen. It was a good run. Get out while you still can.

The fascists have taken power and come Jan 20, it won't matter what stripe of "leftist" you are. If you're not deep throating dear leader, you're the enemy. This has all happened before. They just slow-walked it this time so those who could have done something about it didn't and now it's too late.

The fascist movements have never cared about the rules and have always literally stopped at nothing to seize power. The progressive movement in the US has been hamstring and crippled by centuries of white supremacy, sexism and general rat fuckery.

Thing is, we're starting down the barrel of a fascist movement. It has been helped along by decades of appeasement and "surely this time they'll follow the rules". But it's a movement of "fuck your rules, I want power". Bernie has been saying the same stuff as AOC, but for far longer...

And this right here is why we need some kind of transferrable/ranked choice vote. All those "protest vote" clowns would actually be able to put in a secondary vote for someone with a chance of winning so we would get to see who actually won.

We saw the play when it was at the Paramount a few years back and it was amazing in that format. I do want to experience the theatrical version to see how it stacks up to the original.

Ever since the removal of the Fairness Doctrine in 1987 by everybody's "favorite" president, the extremists have been able to infiltrate the public discourse. It for sure won't happen in the next 4 years, but there needs to be a return to media under a new Fairness Doctrine.
