Kids, wife, United. In that order...
You could go though pretty much every player in the squad and put a question mark over them. Bar the signings we made this summer.

I think he did have an accident. Banged his head or something, like that.
November 24, 2025 at 7:25 PM
Hot head? We talking the same player?

Id probably say the exact opposite. Id love him to show a bit more fight, a bit of nastiness. Seems like too much of a nice guy.

Think I would got Elliot over Wharton too.

Think Elliot has a bigger personality. Think he's more likely to thrive in a big environment.

Wharton seems a bit more reserved. Think with him there would be a bigger risk of the "weight of the shirt" being an issue.

Could be wrong, of course.

Plus Huddersfield, as previously mentioned.

Maybe another club or two pre-war?
November 23, 2025 at 11:35 AM
City, Utd, Liverpool. Think that's maybe it.

Don't think Chelsea or Arsenal did it in the PL era.
November 23, 2025 at 11:35 AM
Yep!

I was talking to an ex-PL ref about these types of situations a few years ago. IMO, its a foul, but they are not given as (cant remember exact phrasing) its a natural part of the game, or its a natural action to try block the ball. Don't agree, but thats why they are not given.
November 22, 2025 at 8:56 PM
Not really. But I think ex Grimsby Town (my home town) manager Mike Newell was thier 3rd choice striker. And i could easily imagine him being from Liverpool.

City one - again, would be a guess. Could be one of many. Haaland, Aguero, Tevez, Jesus, De Bruyne, Foden?
November 21, 2025 at 1:23 PM
The Blackburn one, educated guess is Sutton or Shearer. Could be someone a bit random too though, Paul Warhurst or something. 😂

Is this the earliest in a game, ie. within the first 10 mins of a game. Or, closest together in time?

If its the second, I know one of them. Salah vs Rangers.
November 21, 2025 at 10:35 AM
Haven't read it, but I believe in these situations the outstanding tax still needs to be settled too?
November 20, 2025 at 4:30 PM
Im gonna say in the order written.
November 20, 2025 at 10:07 AM
Think there are a few possibilities here. My guesses in order.

Van Nistelrooy for Utd + Madrid or PSV

van Persie for Utd + Arsenal

Owen for Utd + Liverpool or Madrid

Kagawa for Utd + Dortmund

Netherlands must have been early in his management career? I dont remember it.
November 19, 2025 at 10:20 AM
I know one of them.

My Uncle met him at a bar at Seoul airport ahead of the 2006 world cup. Nice guy apparently. He was taking South Korea to the WC (Advocaat, not my Uncle 😂).

The other, the obvious one is The Netherlands, but im going to guess Russia.
November 19, 2025 at 9:58 AM
Yep. 98% of it is boring.

In Europe, after 384 qualifying games, plus the hundreds of friendlies over the past couple of years, it essentially came down to around 5 games at the end that had any kind of jeopardy to them.

Having said that, the Scotland game was great!
November 19, 2025 at 9:33 AM
Think the last one might be Derby?
November 18, 2025 at 3:51 PM
Yep, perfect chance for JZ and/or Mount to play some games and ensure they are still getting picked after Sesko returns
November 17, 2025 at 6:37 PM
I think ive got it, or at least close. Swindon and Barnsley the giveaway for me.

Something like having played in the top flight, but only for one season.

Something along those lines.

John Charles, Ian Rush.
November 16, 2025 at 9:42 AM
Actually, I think Everton won it in the mid-eighties. Forests great side was late 70s? Villa was early 80's?
