Spent the morning in the studio because work is heart-achingly depressing right now. I glazed four tiny pieces with a hand-painted leopard spot finish, trimmed a mug and two vases, and threw four olive or pistachio dishes. So I can be productive, jut not about the things that are breaking my heart.

Meet my best girl, Haggis. She has diabetes and cancer and so our time is limited. We fill it with snuggles, blanket burritos, and so many snooty snorts. Oh, the way I love her.

I went to work at 8am today. I came home for 15 minutes at 6:45pm before I had to go back for rehearsal. In that 15 min window, my toaster caught on fire. I just got home at 11:26pm. Tomorrow, I literally have 23 meetings. What have I wrought?!

I am a staunch "inbox zero" person. I had a bit of a backlog going into this morning but only by a handful. It is 6pm and I can confirm that I have *checks notes* sent 147 (!!!) emails today. I would like to set my computer on fire and my retinas are on fire. Today felt like punishment.

Yes! Nothing rare or fancy, but I go every time I go back. Here are three favorites. I also love finding Hindu offerings like figurines, but I leave those to the river. I also found a tuppence that I wore in my shoe at my wedding. I passed it on to my niece.

I went to an adult art class tonight in our neighborhood's beautiful community garden, which is the only reason I'm remotely okay about term starting tomorrow. Plus, I made an art! This year, I'm determined to hold space for my own creativity and to make things irrespective of "productivity."
