Jasper is our newest addition. Nobody else wanted him because he “looked sad”, but he is the sweetest, cuddliest little guy. Big hugs my friend, you’ve been going through one of the most difficult experiences we can have as human beings. Take your time to process, grief is not over quickly, if ever.

Between being sick, working on a fall sweater, listening to #Warcraft podcasts talking about the upcoming expansion hype, and knowing that my next vacation is our annual autumn trek to New England - it feels like fall is coming. Not quite in the air yet, but close. 🧶

Figured out a nice life hack: a recumbent bike is a pretty decent place to get some knitting done. I looped a little bag around one of the side handles to hold the yarn balls so they don’t go all over the floor. Add in an audiobook to listen to and it’s a multitasking dream. Rigby approves.

Went to Michaels today and struggled mightily to not bring a disco cat home. $25 is a bit steep but as soon as they go on sale, I might be back.

This little dude has consumed the last two days at our house. His name is Jasper, and he is the tiniest, cuddliest, purriest baby ever. He will set up camp on your chest or tummy and just hang out for hours.

Last new yarn for a while: Three skeins of Direwolf Graffiti by La Bien Aimee. I have a project in mind but no pic yet as I’m still deciding about the other yarn to pair this with. This yarn is gorgeous, the name is perfection, and shipping was so FAST from France! #knitting 🧶

Got a package from Qing Fiber today! The pink yarn is their anniversary colourway called Pick n Mix, and it looks like cupcake frosting. Planning on making a spring sweater featuring large birds sitting on branches in pink going around the yoke on a mainly green background/body. #knitting

One Last Time. $15 and I am now the owner of a shopping cart from the place where I got my very first job at 16, and where I learned to love all things creative. I became a class instructor, a keyholder, and they even sponsored my trip to 4-H Nationals in Sewing my senior year.

The biggest, fattest wool yarn ever. This stuff had to be knitted on US50 needles. The terrible thing was that it was too thick to actually be wearable unless you live in the Arctic.

The best surprise of the night (other than finding my original Vogue Knitting and Stitch ‘n Bitch books) was finding this yardage counter. I’ve been thinking about buying one, so this was a super nice surprise! Didn’t even remember I had it.

Then there were eyelash yarns, for when you wanted hats and scarves with zero warmth. But whoa they were fuzzy!
