Can understand why Rashford was given MOTM, but the award would have gone to Kamara if I was choosing. New contract for him could be our most important business before next season.

Not the right game to start Asensio. Villa too narrow and too slow. Chelsea having no difficulty finding the acres of free space on the wings. Bring on Rashford or Malen to give their full backs something to think about running back towards their own goal.

Duran was box office entertainment, but also pretty frustrating. So much talent, so I really hope for his sake he matures and applies himself. I don't think we've seen the last of him in Europe. Villa have done well to avoid him going straight to a PL rival.

Arsenal have needed a striker like Watkins for years. No surprise they want him but the timing is bizarre. They know they'd only cause anger sending an offer today. So are they clueless, classless, or are they desperately trying to give Villa an alternative to selling Duran?

Assuming there's no shortage of suitors for Duran in the summer, I fully expect Arsenal to try to muscle their way to the front of the queue. Another season without a centre forward would be professional suicide for Arteta.

There was always going to be a few bumps in the road reintegrating Mings, Buendia and Kamara after such long lay-offs, but on the whole Emery is doing a great job of getting them much needed minutes to get back up to speed. Squad depth now looking very healthy.

Hoping Villa go back to basics for these next two matches. We've been woeful defensively for some time now. With Olsen potentially between the sticks, I'd like us to focus on denying opposition chances more than we have been doing. We should still have enough to cause problems going the other way.

Amazed at how reliant Villa have become on Rogers in such a short time period. If he struggles, we struggle. Ollie becomes isolated and we turnover possession too readily. No surprise that our recent drop off has coincided with him going off the boil. Lot of pressure on the lad.
