The gorse is superb on the Solway at the moment - we really need smellivision so you could experience the aroma of coconut that comes with this gorgeous plant :) #cumbria

Here in north #cumbria, they’ve installed audible warnings on speed limit signs - I believe it’s called a Wireless Roadside Enforcement Notifier ;)

While the wife shopped, I took the hounds on the 1-mile walk from the centre of Carlisle #Cumbria out to the weir at Holme Head on the River Caldew - not a lot of water in the river at the moment…

The geese that have overwintered here have been massing on the #Solway for the past couple of days. They’re doing their final preparations before heading off “home”: Svalbard, Faroe Islands, Iceland, etc.
It’s been a pleasure having them around :)
