At home, I slept through the next several days but was mostly back to normal after that. I don't recall having any major issues with eating during recovery. Long-term, Having my gallbladder out hasn't affected what I can eat. One incision did heal weirdly so there's a big scar on my stomach now.

My gallbladder removal was ~12 years ago, so I don't clearly remember every detail. It was laparoscopic. I was sent home with vicodin as soon as I was able to move around. And while I felt achy/stiff during recovery, I'm pretty sure the worst pain was actually my throat immediately after waking up.
