I think you're slightly mistaken on this. Your overall point is right, but I think the point on power dynamics is that organizations like TP and Libs ARE effectively right wing government organizations. They have a fig leaf of grassroots action, but these people have been connected with government/

I think this is because "cancelling" is a top-down, whole-of-government approach when its being done by the right, while the left is bottom-up and largely driven by engaged, online groups, often with disparate goals.
