Elgar'nan watches his wife's hobo boyfriend commit a war crime and wonders if he needs to become worse to win her back.

I love how the Caretaker wears this nice little helmet to arrange his cloud of free-floating eyestalks into something a little less unnerving and more recognizable as eyes.

This one is a real nail-biter. 😬 But it has to be A. The best teacher of the lot. (The others are just my besties.)

I gave up trying to work out the "right" answers when talking to the Mythal-fragment in the Crossroads and just looked up a game guide. 😬

I think of Mythal as a fury. Calm and slow to anger. Will hunt you to the end of time with no chance of reprieve if you wrong her people. Elgar'nan was the opposite. Fiery Old Testament temper. As quick to forgive as he was to anger.

Totally agree re: the inherent ambiguity of meaning in elvhen.

Elgar'nan was the chill parent theory confirmed.

I might be wrong about the plural/singular thing. I forgot about "ma banal'evanuris." Solas could be calling both Elgy and Ghilly tyrants. But given it follows him shouting "Elgar'nan, old friend!," I'd hazard it's an instance of singular "evanuris." Elvhen is such a mess lol 😆

I think the suffix here is actually -is, which may be used to indicate plurality. Another example would be "bellanaris" ("eternity," lit. "many years").

"Evanura" seems to be an explicitly singular form while "evanuris" seems to be explicitly plural. (Not something elvhen usually does.) The proper noun "Evanuris" presumably emerged from the plural. Like "the prime minister of Canada" vs. "Prime Minister Carney."

I was wrong and I'm posting this here so I can reference it in the lexicon instead of linking to the Elon site.

I think "evanura" (used in the Red Hart letters) might be "clan" based on context of use and my personal headcanon that "evanuris" means both "leaders" and "family."
