In front of a town hall in Connecticut today. It breaks my heart to see people rallying for “Trump 2028” and “Trump is your king”. America has no king.
A small group of white people stands with a huge display of flags in front of a town hall. The flag poles are zip tied to the hand rails of the steps. Many of them read Trump 2028, MAGA, DOGE, Trump 2024, “We took America back”, and other similar slogans. There are also thin blue line flags. One is a mashup of the flags of the U.S. and Israel. One protester is dressed in 1700s garb with a tricorner hat and banging a drum. Another is wearing a jacket that says “ICE”. Hand made, spray painted signs have all-caps lettering and read “Trump is your daddy” and “Trump is your king $ $”.
