I’m just a regular guy living in the mountains wanting the best for his family, his country, and the planet. I swear a lot (s, ns). I love the outdoors and attempt to capture it with limited skills and too much trust in my phone 😂

We are better together!

Recent trip to the top of Colorado for the first time! At 14,438 ft, Mt Elbert is the 2nd highest peak in the continental US after Mt Whitney. Simply gorgeous view and fantastic weather for the day. Brings my state high point journey to 25 officially and started off my 14er season. #hiking #halfway

Suck it Lee! You cannot sell our land so you can line your pockets. #magaasshole

When you spend $45 million of other people's money on your dictator chic birthday and it's still worse than a roadside Taco Bell value-package party.

This is an absolutely devasting, and disgusting, budget blueprint for all of the federal government. I’m absolute shocked at the language in this. Right or left, the misrepresentation of programs that have existed for many years to fit a narrative is shocking.

Continuing back with my SW hike last fall, Guadalupe Peak in TX was a stunning visit. At 8,751 ft, the trail was a definite beast and rewarding experience. The change from desert to forest was really neat to see! Definitely get an early start to avoid heat issues though. Monument on top is a hoot!

Another stop on my trip was Wheeler Peak in New Mexico. Standing over 13,160 ft, I took a lengthy hike up the Bull-of-the-Mountain trail, over 15 miles RT and about 4,700 ft in elevation. Was a glorious fall day and beautiful sights did not disappoint #optoutside #hiking #highpointing #fallcolor

On my trip last fall through the Southwest, I stopped at two great historical sites: Meteor Crater National Landmark and Walnut Canyon National Monument.

One is privately owned but an incredible display of nature, the other is NPS and highlights the ingenuity of humans in an unforgiving home.

A fun thing to do outdoors is called state highpointing. This entails getting to the highest point of each state by any means available. I’m currently at 24/50 (+DC). One of my most recents was Humphrey’s Peak, Az. At 12,633 ft, it’s the 12th tallest HP. #optoutside #hiking #highpointing #summitpbr

Prior to my R2R hike, I had the delight of staying in Monument Valley for the night. Getting up for sunrise was absolutely worth it and then stopping at Horseshoe Bend was another amazing treat. We have some incredible natural beauty to take in during our lives. #optoutside #gcnp #findyourpark #live

I began my quest to summit all the 14ers in Colorado in 2024. If you’re unaware, they’re all the peaks over 14k ft. There’s 58 named peaks in the state; however only 53 them are “ranked.” My first two, Grays and Torreys over 11 miles and 6k elevation #optoutside #14ers #hiking #mountains #summitbeer
