Out of curiosity, I used wayback machine to read her blog. The last post she made, when she said she was going to use traditional methods (she did radiation), had some replies from her followers saying it's because she wasn't doing the juice thing properly and was her fault. Unbelievable.

The mother did an interview. It sounds like he didn't want to leave, and that's why they hadn't evacuated. He'd locked himself in his cottage. The phones were down and the water cut off so she left to get the local fire department. Sounds awful.

Wait, people don’t know about that? I was 14 when the 2004 tsunami hit and I remember extensive and ongoing media coverage in Australia. I assumed that it was similar elsewhere too.
I know what you’re saying though, there’s a real disparity in media coverage of disasters.

Yeah it became a bit of a staple, I definitely remember looking forward to it every year. I think the whole kids part was better executed because the people putting it together actually worked in kids tv. Plus that's a total banger of a song, haha.
