I agree about which you consume first. I love the book and like the musical because it’s a good show, but definitely not the same story. I like the movie a little more because it filled it the gaps the stage production left out.

I reread it recently because my 7th grader asked if they could read it. Good thing I did because I forgot how sexual it was!
