The far right taking over the federal government is the equivalent of the marketing department taking over a corporation. They will do everything they can to convince us that everything is going well until they hollow out the whole thing and it collapses while they flee with whatever is left.

It's arguable that rich people only really care about time. If someone could figure out a situation where we could convince them that they would have more time if they gave us more rights, freedom, prosperity, etc., they would let us have it in a heartbeat.
