That was the title of my Government and Politics A-level presentation: “The fucking uselessness of right-wing populists and how they hide it under a bushel of bullshit”. I didn’t pass that course but I stand by my thesis 🤓

I remember driving to the Catalunya race around 2010/2011 and Marc was on advertising boardings for a Spanish bank. He’d only been in Moto3 a season or two and was already a star. Last British rider viewed like that was Barry Sheene

Supposedly second only to Christiano Ronaldo in Portuguese sporting legend status.

Ahh, ok. Thank you! I saw the drag but not the corner exit. What a race. Fantabulous stuff

How did Zarco outdrag Bagnaia to the line? Pecco have a bad exit or has Honda found a nitrous-oxide injector?

To be fair Erik, I don’t think Bulega was seriously trying to pull a Capirossi/Schumacher but just trying to aggressively make a pass but a single long-lap sure looks lenient. Hopefully these last three laps will be reassuringly static and boring 😁

Casey didn’t run into many other riders but remember his 2006 season with LCR? The crash-damage bill must have made Lucio’s eyes water that year

As Ducati did with Fermin and look at him now. I admit I thought they’d jumped the gun after he had that great winning streak in ‘23 but once again, the talent spotters in that paddock proved they know their stuff

And don’t forget that Marc M did his fair share of crazy crashing, poor Wilairot getting rammed in a warm-down lap.
I really don’t know how Moreira will go but I can’t help thinking that the very smart folk on the paddock know far more than me - Fabio Q did even less in Moto2 and now is a champ 🤷🏻‍♂️

Does this news mean that it’s not a collarbone fracture but a shoulder blade? That’s kind of worrying, considering Marc’s recent history. Or am I being a bit of a fanny in my concerns?
