The Mothman Museum is worth every penny of the $4.99 admission fee

I’ve been seeing at least one movie a week since I subscribed to AMC’s A-list a few months ago. But I finally managed to max out the 4 movies/week limit!

My cactus is blooming :)

I bought a fancy rice cooker to replace the $10 one we’ve had for decades. I’m a little intimidated by the user manual.

I bought this ridiculous garden flag….and now I keep muttering “Honkus Ponkus!” to myself constantly

I’ve been reading advice online about yellow jacket hives and found this real “old lady that swallowed a fly” approach.

I buy my snacks at the Teso based on vibes. The vibe today is CRUNKY

The cats swap their favorite spots once in a while. Dean can be king of the Costco trash while Frank holds down the front window observation point

The kid who buried this toy in our front garden bed decades ago should be proud. They got me with it. I poked it a few times to get a good look before touching it

I popped out two small boxwood stumps by myself in under 5 minutes with this beast of a shovel. With help, the two large ones were out in under an hour. A+ for the root slayer

Costco has a new Costco-themed double cat scratcher...and I'm going to have to order it.

I’ve hit my mental limit several days in a row on news. Maybe you did too. So, here’s an update on the only box the cats have ever liked. Frank found a convenient foot hole to air out his toes. Great for temperature regulation.

Time to cram the freezer full of pesto. I made some decent Thai basil-based stir fry sauce earlier this summer that also freezes well

We had a tree taken down and the stump grinder’s motor died. The tree company had to call for a tow truck. The driver spent some time taking a series of photos wearing this stylish hat.

The neighbor’s Shiba Inus refuse to accept my existence in my own yard. But the other neighbor’s little sweetheart is my new BFF when I’m out weeding. This photo was taken in between play poses and happy bouncing because I was chatting with her.

Frank is a short king with giant feet. Dean is a gigantic king with tiny feet.

The dental hygienist interrupted her own question with a full body reaction and ”OH MY GOD. I saw the cat.” I had fidgeted with my phone—showing this photo of Dean on the Lock Screen.

A. took this photo of some old paint so I could remember the color (really an unforgettable name). The curtain in the workroom is giving “cheap magic show”

Gooseberry pie (and pie-shaped lump of pie filling) in the freezer. Tastes like rhubarb pie, honestly

Timeline mental break for you: One of my backyard mini sunflowers got bent (deer possibly?) I cut it off and popped it in a cup I use for smoothies. It has opened up now!

We killed a nice round 60 spotted lantern flies today with my new weapon. Now enhanced with duct tape to keep the sides snapped together during hard hits. (I would like to smack the folks in the neighborhood growing tree of heaven with it also)
