yeah openly queer actors still get the short end of the stick in hollywood but I promise you the solution is not to break a bunch labor laws in the casting process so that fans can be wildly invasive about the personal lives of strangers and queer actors inevitably get pigeonholed into "gay roles"

at the very least I hope people are starting to realize this insistence that queer roles must be played be queer actors has nothing to do with "authenticity" or "representation" and everything to do with entitlement and not treating actors like real humans. who cares man, mind your fucking business
