I’m feeling flabbergasted at the recent narrative that “democracy/liberalism is dead”. We totally removed anyone w/ actual policy knowledge, pumped trillions into policies FOR corps and AGAINST the ppl, crippled education, gerrymandering, etc, etc.. But somehow ppl having a vote/voice is the issue ☹️

So glad actual politicians (non-derogatory) who are winning elections. Over and over and over, we have elected Businessmen and women to “stop the politicians”, that no one even knows policy anymore? Maybe we should start electing more “politicians” who, like, actually know politics? Who know theory?

You are not entitled for expecting your government to serve you as a citizen. It literally exists to provide for you the resources necessary for a functional life. That’s why it’s there- its entire purpose. You are not greedy for asking more from your government; it IS their half of the agreement.

SAME! I hate it for cities and suburbs, but it kills rural areas most (I’m from small town) Ppl can’t start their own businesses & it’s not profitable for Kroger or Wal-Mart. So rural folks are just S.O.L.

100% agreed. We probably agree on more than some might think. We NEED some controls. Ppl hate gov’t (bc ours is incompetent) but when a gov’t is FOR the ppl, it can restrain some of these mega-monopolies!! I genuinely wanna see more small businesses.. I hate seeing US get bought up for highest $

I agree humans CAN be selfish. But that’s why capitalism fails. There is no penalty to being selfish; it’s rewarded. Do you think Musk got to where his is because he’s a giving person?

Also interesting that capitalism is given A LOT of benefit of doubt and is this HUGE umbrella in practice, but communism is always and only this one specific iteration of the idea and can only mean that all people should suffer and ANYthing even close to what they did should be demonized.
