I couldn’t find where the word ‘fun’ even came into the debate? From what I’ve read the call was for a broad curriculum diet to increase the chances that students will find a subjects or topics they ‘enjoy’ perhaps more than others. That’s surely not a bad thing? I lean into my uncool vibe heavily!

Agree with your points, however, what is your source for ‘unions have lobbied the government for more fun?’ The article states lessons should more accessible and enjoyable, and argues for a broad curriculum, especially for those from disadvantaged backgrounds? Disagree?
