My hyperfixations are knitting and crocheting. 🧶
Now it’s time to wind some yarn 🧶 and start swatching for the Young Juliette sweater. I have to figure out gauge for sizing as well as decide how big I want the shell motifs to be. Here’s the yarn I’m using. Bought last year for a knit along I didn’t do.

Taking advantage of the last glimmers of sunlight to dry this Eddy Cowl. Even if I didn’t aggressively pin it straight, I can already tell how much more relaxed the fabric is after washing. I’ll bring it in before sunset to warm it near the fire. I still can’t believe that I knit this! 🧶

Hot off the needles 🧶 The Eddy Cowl is done (except blocking)! I love it so much. I learned so much from this project and can’t wait to start the Young Juliette sweater. I got some yarn to wind 🤩🤩

Making good progress on the Eddy cowl. I had to frog back to the ribbing and start over once because my tension was all over the place (luckily only 2 rounds of shells in). Made some adjustments and love the results so far. #knitting 🧶

Pleased with the progress so far! This is less complicated than I thought it would be and actually really fun to 🧶 knit up. Sylvie seems to like it too. #EddyCowl #knitting #emmasyarn

Made a vid about starting the Young Juliette sweater 🧶 project. First half is about making socks. The relevant part starts around the 13:30 mark. I’m not a great videographer but I want to document my progress because the obsession is real. youtu.be/llMxaNxgblk?... #knitting #youngjuliettesweater

Picked yarn for the Eddy cowl. Pattern calls for Aran/worsted, but this is DK. Rather than hold double, I’ll just do some gauge math to increase my stitch count. But it’s a cowl, so sizing should be fine as long as it’s not too small. Time to wind yarn! 🧶 #knitting #YoungJulietteSweater

After falling down the rabbit hole about Prada sweaters and shell stitches, I’m starting a quest to recreate the Young Juliette Sweater from Silo season 2. First stop: knit 🧶 the Eddy Hat/Cowl by Julia Farwell-Clay to get a feel for the motif. www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib... #knitting

Watching the new season of Silo on AppleTV+ and saw this. How is it made?! Any ideas of patterns to look up? I can’t even wrap my mind around how that multi-color wave is formed, but I love it!

Side note: it’s a REALLY good show and LOTS of knitting on display. 🧶 #knitting
