GenXer…First Amendment is priority. All else flows from it.
Not saying they should be harassed off duty. Just saying it is realistically a possibility. If we say that it isn’t, what happens when even a single incident happens? Can’t use that as reason to evade accountability.

Some agents would be harassed. However, the argument should not be made on those grounds. Question is do we sacrifice our constitutional rights for their comfort? Need to stand firm that constitutional rights are paramount. No secret police. They make a similar 2nd amendment case all the time.

That is not the whole story. I read less than I did 10 years ago and I have plenty of free time. There are just more distractions and options to catch attention. Sad but true.

She was linked to the Biden era - who was bad on the border - chaotic. (Should have done what he could earlier. Like hire a bunch of lawyers to clear backlog while we had the votes.) Didn’t matter what she said by then. Another reason for fresh faces in the party.

Well it is ridiculous to think that people who want more housing and less ridiculous regulations know of the term Abundance agenda. I for one am for most of it, but since I don’t know for sure what the whole “agenda” is, I would probably decline as well.

Usually I would agree. But this year running as a new face might be leg up within both parties.

I think the reason we all know Hinkley is bc of the Jodie Foster connection. I don’t know the name of either person who tried to kill Ford. But the ear thing is a crack. Probably glass when he went down.

It is why the civil rights movement made sure to tell protestors to where their Sunday best. Optics DO matter. You don’t want to reinforce the exact stereotype the opposition paints you as.
