I feel the same. Veilguard felt like it was written by amateurs who didn't really understand or care about established lore. I think the loss of lead writer David Gaider really hurt the franchise.

I had such a love hate relationship with physical, on the one hand I love the autonomy and freedom of actually owning your media, on the other hand, I'm a minimalist and really hate excess clutter, and physical media typically takes up a lot of space.

The analogy about a carpenter seeing all problems as "nails" and the solution being a "hammer" comes to mind. EA needs to seriously reassess why they even bought Bioware and what they expected out of this studio

I'm sure anything less than inquisitions' numbers would've been considered a disappointment by the higher ups, they only ever expect inclining market share

Easier to scapegoat Dragon Age, an IP that EA never really cared about, than to admit to investors losing the FIFA licence really hurt their sports game sales and probably will continue to do so!

I agree. They've mismanaged Bioware for years, pushing live service, firing experienced staff and replacing them with amateurs, starting and stopping projects arbitrarily, shuffling people around too much, not giving them enough time or money to work, etc. Bioware deserved better than EA
