In order to make sure that 5 trans athletes don’t get to play sports, republicans in some states are trying/have tried to mandate genital inspections prior to joining sports teams at the k-12 level. They’re fucking perverts. Stop buying into their grift.

I quit Facebook during the Obama administration. I just couldn’t stand seeing people I loved turn into raving, racist lunatics. It was just too upsetting. But I loved it in the early years before half the nation went crazy.

Twitter was fabulous for a while. It’s a hellhole of bots and MAGA raging now.

Mine is pretty similar. Bluesky for sanity. Some Twitter doomscrolling - but verify before believing anything on Twitter these days. A few substacks. I tend to stick with journalists and outlets I’ve trusted over the last 10 years of BS.

I did it the night of the election. Don’t miss it. And we used to watch cable “news” shows for hours.

As if they weren’t already understaffed with hours long waiting lines.
