A woodpecker that collects acorns and nuts in holes between trees to face the food shortage in the winter. Stored acorns in the wall of a house between the insulating cork layer
The amazing thing is that the amount of acorns was about 317 kilograms. This is what one bird collect

Visiting ✌️ Bryce Canyon ✌️ in winter, with its ❄️snow-dusted stone pillars, reveals a beauty that surpasses the photos you see in guidebooks, most of which are taken in summer. This park is a true masterpiece of nature. 👉 hikevent.com/bryce-canyon...

The pounce. Observing the Red Foxes hunting this field was quite an experience. I appreciate their help in controlling the rodent population.

Namibia's dreaded east wind turns its coastal dunes into an unnavigable inferno. We went straight in! Blowing sand stung our feet, pelted our equipment, filled our eyes. But time stood still: We were immersed in a world of astonishing beauty, gone too soon.

After several attempts over a period of 6 years, patience finally paid off. For an all too brief moment, Argentinian Patagonia's vast, breathtaking Perito Moreno glacier is dressed in the most beautiful light!

Wilderness untamed & pure, touching every core of your being, unbridled power, furious gale force winds, churning clouds, horizontal sleet, bitter cold. I wouldn't have it any other way! Yukon, Canada.
