The damage cannot be undone. The foundations are rotted. We need to tear the whole thing down and start over. I wish that was not true but here we are.

The Age of Stupid rolls merrily along. We are truly blessed to live in such times.

Stupidity is not a uniquely American trait. It is a global phenomenon. Still, we are working hard to lead the way.

We have been a very stupid country for a long time, by design.

Illegal kidnapping. Again.
No one intervened. Again.
Just another day in the USA.

Now if someone suggested that the same should happen to the current occupants of the White House for their very real crimes, that someone would be subject to arrest.

Bigots have nothing better to do than spread their hatred. They need to get stomped.

We're the USofA, dammit! We're assholes and we don't care who knows it! Our felons and bigots are the best in the world! That's why we don't punish them on the regular. In fact, we reward them. So some innocent people get abused and die. It's a small price to pay for such greatness.

Oh, yeah.

The only way Americans could be more sheep like is if we were covered in wool. There are no indignities we will not suffer in a vain effort to maintain an illusion of normalcy. Oh, we'll complain, but ultimately do nothing. We prove it again and again.

I'd like to be proven wrong.

The rule of law is dead in the US.
