Ikr? And to make it even better, the blue color is actually coming from their blood. They have bright blue blood and their skin is slightly transparent 😂

Good question, if you find out please let me know 😅 keeping it simple with just #planthopper but that doesn’t include froghoppers, lanternflies, or cicadas. All of which I feel should go under a similar hash tag if possible. #auchenorrhyncha doesn’t roll off the tongue well but it’s most accurate.

I believe it is a type of huntsman. According to iNat and some friends, it’s a Heteropoda Boiei. However, I have my suspicions, with DNA sequencing. That species will eventually get broken up into multiple others. From what I have seen, there is just too much variation for them to all be boiei.
