Regarding buffs>nerfs, I 100% fully agree, and I think that applies well to the exemplar archetype. I think that more archetypes, especially multiclass archetypes, should be of a similar lvl of power, and provide some actual relevant class features, unlike, lets say the ranger archetype

As for the roleplay potential, id agree, but the fact that the animist gets all apparitions from lvl 1 dissapointed me a lot. I was really excited for the fantasy of getting to interact diff spirits and have them join you, pokemon style, but I am probs one of the few when it comes to that.

That is absolutely fair, i just find it to be poorly designed. Everything about the animist makes me go "Id rather just play x class instead". A lore monkey is defo fun and im glad it helps ppl who wanted to play that, but for my group, we use free archetype, so we can always grab loremaster

If you wanna support paizo, buy it, otherwise unless smt specific in there really interests you, or u care about the golarion lore, id pass

Genuienly meh, its not bad its just not good either. Personally, I find it to be the most mediocre 2e rulebook. The animist feels like a weird stew, trying to be everything without being great at anything, the exemplar is ok, mythic rules are boring imo and the class archetypes are alright.

instead of systems and their mechanics. PF2e discourse would be fun if ppl werent only talking about the mechanics and game design drama, but rather about their worlds and campaigns, like thats the cool stuff, but its just so hard to find ppl who talk about that 2/2

Its so tough to find worthwhile interaction thats not just for the sake of interacting in the TTRPG space, since every game has its own micro community, and i dont wish to interact with dnd stuff personally. Wish there were more ppl talking about Lancer/Fabula or just about their own campaigns 1/2

but i think the same blandness and lack of creativity shows within ai generated art as well, and the mass produced garbage out there, is absolutely ruining pinterest and other sites like it. Trying to find reff images to commission npcs, landscapes, or inspo is a horrible experience due to ai imo

I tried using it to name npcs and places and more, but the names it gives tend to be the most boring ones immaginable really. Anyway, I mainly use it to spark up smt when im in a slump or to organize my notes more neatly and coherently.

Like, i am someone who uses AI to some extent. I am a gm with my own homebrew world and when I've been in a slump it did give me sparks of creativity, even though 95% of things it gave me were absolute uncreative and bland pieces of garbage, it did give me ideas.

like why? i hate having to tell my players who rolled just to hide, that now they have to roll again just bcs they wanna move a bit.
