[Bio]
A once-caged bird given total freedom, with no idea what to do with it. Hiding of complex emotions behind a mask of superiority and barbs. Dramatic when it suits her, but rarely actually vulnerable. Hides intense curiosity at times.

- Emotionally distant, sometimes sharp
- Doesn’t seek to cause damage, usually, but not opposed to doing so
- Old, but in many ways sheltered, unsure of where she begins and the mask ends
- Challenging fencer, hesitant to start fights with powerful foes now that she’s on limited time

- 4-6 years out
- Still lives in The Cradle, distant from others
- Does odd jobs for Hornet when asked, simply for something to do
- Tendency to watch other bugs from afar, pretending to menace but honestly just curious
- Very slowly processing a whole lot of emotions

I plan to eventually make a page with headcanons that apply to my Lace, but it’s gonna be a while.

While Lace shares a specific timeline, I welcome interactions both with alternate Laces and other characters from other timelines. She’s not exclusive – just created with a narrative parallel with a friend (hallowed-hollow-mun) in mind.

There is a good chance that her posts will have internal dialogue related to this situation, related to the unrealistic parental expectations, related to grief, and related to how she feels like a shade of a real bug. Consider this a content warning.

I play Lace as an adult mentally, but having a physical body that is read as child-like. She has a lot of hangups based on this, and the fact she was created solely to fill the “child” role but that she does not fit within it.
