The Canadian exp could have helped. The (conservative) government spent a few months publishing info ahead of the change when we dropped the penny, and it was essentially a non-issue. Of course it's harder in a country where a good chunk of the pop'n doesn't understand rounding to the nearest 5

Welcome to my data-cleaning world ("cleansing" by some Brits). I never noticed this, but if I look at the wiki entries for Anna Seghers' novel "Transit", the first word, this setting, has the ending 's' in English, but not French. Awesome book, btw. Then watch Petzold's word-for-word adapt'n

There used to be a Sprouts-like store called "The Market" in Bellingham WA but it became a Whole Foods about 15 years ago. They had a good sandwich bar, but after it closed I discovered the Old World Deli. Better to support local anyway.

Sounds about right. The internet doesn't sound too happy about them, but on the + side there's still competition to Kroger/Albertons/Haggen and Whole Foods. If I ever get to one I'll go buy a frozen meal to microwave.

We thought it was fictional but a quick search shows not only is it real, but one in a suburban Albuquerque neighborhood has been shut down due to a pest infestation. Easier to find the rats' nests and roach eggs when the shelves are emptied.

This is why the French invented « and » guillemet characters (called "chevrons" by Americans prob because of cars). So I would make it Trey said, "I really hope you like the «Sneakin' Sally» we played."

As a bonus, I assume guillemets nest. Why not?
