I really like the cloth maps that Free League makes for their games… and now so do the walls on our upstairs landing!

This is interesting. The number of third party #DnD products being produced each year dropped sharply after 2023 back down to 2015 levels. The two big things I would attribute that to (off the top of my head) are the OGL crisis and the announcement of D&D 2024.

Outlets either lost completely or which shuttered their #TTRPG coverage in the last year or two. Our little industry isn’t a blip against movie/popculture/comics/videogames news. Only reason EN World has lasted so long (26 years!) I think is because we’re so small in comparison to these giants.

Is the TTRPG industry in a post-licensing world? People freely use the D&D brand name and trade dress. Even celebrity likenesses. We make all this painstaking hard effort for years to make sure our work is 100% compliant but everyone else is mimicking D&D books and faking celebrity endorsements.
