Ein effektiver Nationaler Sicherheitsrat - All-in!

Entscheidend dafür ist aber nicht nur das Ziel, sondern auch der Weg dorthin. Ich wünsche mir, dass hier mutig gedacht wird, auch abseits der “bewährten” Pfade (Ressourcen, Beratungsinstrumente, Design, etc.)

❌ be overly conciliatory & unconditional,
❌ be overly harsh in potential sanctioning.

--> this requires a very considered and balanced approach. Not easy, but worth trying for all those who have suffered for so long.

It's true: Syria's future may emerge through various channels (negotiations, national dialogue, or international pressure), but without engaging with the principles and spirit of UNSCR 2254, long-term governance will be challenging, as Syrians expect a process that recognizes their sacrifices.
