commodities; mostly of the agricultural kind

as a sidenote, even if the U.S. was competitvely priced for Nov-Dec beans, I don't believe there's is export fobbing capacity for more than about 5-6 mmt beans for Nov-Dec shipment

Corn at 13.7 MMt ytd, the closest ytd is 2018 when it was 11.7 mmt. That's as far back as I went to look at comparisons . 2019 ytd was 4.5 mmt , a low for the 2018-current period

Same survey says 70% of ag producers believe the country is headed in the right direction. Pretty close to the 75% of ag producers who voted for the guy now in the WH.

I won't attempt to read the mind of ag producers . The poll was taken in mid-October , the 'talk' about subsidies has been more recent. The survey also shows the 'favorable' use of tariffs was 70% in April & May.

Here's a more important reason why Senators should be discouraged & why U.S. soybean trade to China will never be what it once was. Brazil's production soared immediately after Trump's 2018/2019 Trade war.

Who's going to tell Senator Ernst even our current non-China markets are buying fewer U.S. soybeans ? Here's why: Brazil soy production has soared since Trump's first Trade War.
