This graph highlights nicely the variance in Ferrari and Mercedes. Ferrari are consistent but lack the highs of Mercedes. The latter are far more volatile, both above and below average. #F1 #Ferrari #Mercedes

Not quite as good as Belgium, but my #HungarianGP podium was mostly right, and as a man once sang, two out of three ain't bad.

After getting the whole #F1 podium right for the #BelgiumGP we'll see if that feat can be repeated for the #HungaryGP. Probably not... also, worth noting rain's on the radar. Let's hope we end up with a race more like Silverstone than Spa.

Well, the #BelgiumGP was not an #F1 classic. Reverse of the usual for predictions, too. Neither midfield points came off, but I got the podium 100% correct.

My cunning #F1 predictions for the #BelgianGP, which is currently looking dry on Saturday and wet on Sunday.
July 24, 2025 at 7:29 AM
While #McLaren have the #F1 title sewn up this year, the midfield is fantastically competitive. Green teams have been having a lovely time of late.

Some fun #F1 numbers comparing points for Alpine versus Red Bull 2nd drivers versus top midfield drivers.

Feels like this is the part of the #F1 season where Verstappen/Russell need to make up ground or there's no chance of catching up. For those who like comedic ineptitude, here are my #AustriaGP predictions.

It's tight at the top, but the midfield's highly competitive too. Spain shook up the lower half of the standings, with Racing Bulls and Sauber doing particularly well. #SpainGP

My predictions lately have been abysmal, so hopefully the Spanish Grand Prix will see a bit more green and a bit less red. Backing Alonso to finally get on the board and Norris to reclaim the title lead. #SpainGP

Very tight in the drivers' battle but also highly competitive to be runner up to McLaren. While Monaco was boring and artificial, the result tightened things up quite nicely.

Title battle is hotting up nicely in #F1, with Norris just a few points off Piastri now. Verstappen's also not out of the fight, but is a win off the lead.

What a difference a year makes in #F1. Alonso and Albon are almost mirror images in terms of points after the first 7 race weekends. Tbf, Alonso's had rotten luck, could easily have scored at least three times.

The latest Undercutters podcast looks back at the #ImolaGP, after which McLaren still seem destined for the Constructors' title but it's competitive for 2nd behind them. Plus, news and a look ahead to the #MonacoGP.

Today's #F1 Undercutters podcast looks at how Verstappen took a big step forward with his convincing #ImolaGP win, Ferrari came roaring back in the race, and news about how MBS has exciting new ideas to make the FIA work 'better'.

Pretty confident about Verstappen and the McLarens being the podium at the #ImolaGP but not sure how things will go further down the order.

Today's Undercutters podcast covers what a difference six races makes in #F1: these pie charts show the probability (derived from betting odds) of the title for Norris, Piastri, Verstappen, and Leclerc. One is pre-season, the other is a quarter of the way into 2025.

It's fair to say my #MiamiGP predictions were not exactly fantastic. Must've been having a tea break when I should've been concentrating on them.
May 6, 2025 at 4:36 PM
Interesting to compare the top teams/drivers graphs. The team have stayed in the same order through the #F1 2025 season to date, whereas the drivers have been much tighter. Piastri's moved from last to 1st, but Nor always ahead of Ver, who is always ahead of Rus.

Predictions for the #MiamiGP. Will Norris be put in the shade by Piastri and Verstappen, or bounce back where he scored his first win last year?
April 30, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Although the order's shuffled, the four chaps vying for the F1 2025 title have all stayed in close contention over the first five races. I'd be surprised if it stays that tight throughout, but we'll see.
April 23, 2025 at 8:59 AM
Just under half right for the #SaudiArabianGP prediction. Did call Piastri winning (but not from pole) correct, plus the midfield points for Sainz and Hadjar.
April 21, 2025 at 10:43 AM
Big question for 2025 is whether Verstappen or Russell can challenge the McLarens, and how the flexi-wing ban (coming in June) will affect the running order.
April 16, 2025 at 11:17 AM
Not bad for predictions either, with four coming off and a fifth 0.7s away.

This week's cunning predictions for Bahrain: I think Piastri's had the legs on Norris for most of the year and will get the win. #BahrainGP
