If you told the Founders that all of this was possible, they would point out that they created an Electoral College to keep such a person out of the Presidency even if he were elected.

For the past 20 years, I've only had two blogs that I've followed daily, Josh Marshall and Kevin Drum. The highest compliment I can give him is that I listened to him, even when I thought he was dead wrong. Salute to a real one.

Maybe you should consider, for just a second, that it's not about feeling superior, but its about listening when someone tells you that your vote doesn't matter to them. I'm not sure why someone would cram their vote down the throat of someone who doesn't care about it.

You are absolutely correct. You shouldn't assume you know the motivations of someone you never met and who can't tell you what they were. But I wonder if someone who died helping black people achieve freedom would have voted for the guy who killed 90 people over the guy who killed 100.
